Organization Objective

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal is to pair children from single parent families with a responsible adults who they will see on a regular frequency in order to encourage a fulfilling experience for the pairing.We offer positive and meaningful role models to children, which will contribute to a stronger self esteem, development of healthy lifestyle habits and promote educational success.

Volunteer Job(s) and Description

Big Brothers and Big Sisters in our Traditional Program, In-School Mentors, In-School Tutors

Volunteer Requirements (language, special skills, etc.)

18+ years, English or French, police check and 4 references required.

(Canadian citizenship required for our Traditional program)

Time Commitment

Traditional Program – 3-4 hours every other weekend

In-School Mentor – 1 hour a week (at lunch or after school)

In-School Tutor – 1 hour a week (after school)
