– To facilitate the adaptation and integration of new immigrants to the Quebec society.

– To ensure access to education, health, social and employment services.

– To promote the defense of human rights.

Volunteer Job(s) and Description

– Accompaniment and interpretation services to help elders during their hospital appointments.
– Many elders of the Chinese community need your support when they go to medical appointment. If you speak either mandarin or Cantonese and either French or English, you can accompany them and help them access to these essential services.
– Volunteer for annual events such as: The fundraising gala, the volunteer scholarship event and the children’s day of Montreal.
During these events, we need many volunteers for all the needs such as: Giving indications and orientation to our invites, answer to various inquiries, helping with the organization and the conduct of events.
– Volunteer for tax declaration support. The Chinese family service of greater Montreal is now providing help for the completion of personal annual tax declarations.

Volunteer Requirements (language, special skills, etc.)

There is no specific volunteer requirement as we need volunteers for various tasks and various events. Ideally, a volunteer would speak either French or English and either Mandarin or Cantonese but this is not a requirement. Our volunteer need to be punctual, responsible

Various. A few volunteers help us every weekend. Others help us occasionally for our annual and special events.
