Organization Objective

Community environmental organization working with local businesses, schools and neighbourhood residents to promote the 3Rs, outdoor cleanliness, beautification and greening.

Volunteer Job(s) and Description

1) Outgoing, sociable volunteers needed for door-to-door recycling & composting sensitization in apartment buildings;
2) Youth volunteers needed to help seniors with gardening for our Intergenerational Gardening Program;
3) Volunteers needed to advertise the organization’s services and projects by putting up flyers across NDG;
4) Help with community composters, carrying out general maintenance by turning and aerating the compost and making minor repairs.

Volunteer Requirements (language, special skills, etc.)

No experience necessary, training is provided!

Time Commitment

Most activities last 1-3 hours, and you are free to volunteer weekly, every two weeks, monthly, or periodically. Special events are often held on Saturdays but only begin in the spring/summer.

If your application is retained, you will be asked to come in for an in-person meeting and to set up a volunteering schedule.
