Organization Objective

Everyday for over 20 years we have striven to provide a fundamental right: the right to be well nourished by having access to a variety of both quality and nutritious food.

Our mission :

•Ensure an optimal food supply to the community organizations that provide assistance to people in crisis on the island of Montréal.
•Foster the developpement of sustainable solutions to ensure food security.

Volunteer Requirements (language, special skills, etc.)

Volunteers from all walks of life
Since Moisson Montréal has to supply nearly 212 organizations throughout the year, the help received from volunteers is crucial. We welcome with open arms all kinds of volunteers who wish to lend a helping hand for one hour, one day or several times a year.

•Organizations served
•Groups of friends and colleagues
•Boroughs and municipalities

The greater the number of volunteers involved in sorting foodstuffs, the greater the amount of foodstuffs distributed to organizations and, consequently, to people in need. In order for Moisson Montréal to run smoothly, between 30 and 40 volunteers are needed per day to handle foodstuffs in the warehouse.

Language : French, English
Skills : Able to work in a multicultural team,to stay stand up, to be open mind, and to have a positive atitude

Time Commitment

Our volunteering schedule is;

– Monday to Thursday : 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (You can do an half-day for example 8 to 12 or 12:45 to 3)
– Friday : 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
– We are close at night, and during the weekend.
