Volunteer Job(s) and Description | St-James is open between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday and offers basics such as hot nutritious meals, access to showers, and clean clothes. We also provide counselling, crisis intervention, monitoring of medication and assistance with welfare. We help find housing, accompany people to medical appointments and liaise with outside agencies such as legal services, hospitals, rehabilitation programs, shelters, (etc), as well as provide creative workshops such as poetry, music and art. Volunteers can get involved in a number of different ways. These include:

Time Commitment | Commitment times are flexible. Volunteers can drop by to participate in games and active listening with our members for as little or as long as they like. They are also able to participate in more structured activities and workshops in the kitchen or art room. We ask that volunteers come at a regular time each week. |

Application Process | Prospective Volunteers are asked to come in and meet with one of the staff to receive a short orientation of the centre and fill out an application form. |
