Volunteer Job(s) and Description | Volunteers at the Centre are here as companions to our participants- adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Volunteers are needed to accompany groups of people with intellectual, developmental and mental health disabilities to and from various buildings on campus, to socialize with participants in the morning before their groups, or at lunchtime, and to assist with transportation at the end of the day. There are also day-to-day tasks, fundraising and events that volunteers can become involved in. |
Volunteer Requirements (language, special skills, etc.) | The group at the Centre is predominantly English speaking. Although experience with this population is great it is not a requirement. |
Time Commitment | One shift a week on either Monday Wednesday or Friday. The shifts are mornings 9-10; lunch timeĀ 11:30-1; afternoon 2:30-3.
